Another blog about Amsterdam?…sigh…. Well, yes! but with a twist ;). I created this blog for the “inbetweeners” like me, not a tourist, not a native. So don’t expect the top ten things to do in Amsterdam or the top five restaurants you can’t miss in Amsterdam. There is already plenty of information about it out there. I would like to offer you something different!
I have been living in this city for 11 years now, and I still have that feeling of being a bit lost in it. That is why I decided to explore the city a bit more and learn more about its history. There are so many places I have passed by a million times, and despite of appreciating its beauty, “Oh, look another pretty canal!”, I always feel like there is something missing.
From now on I will be sharing my discoveries with you. Each post will show my view of Amsterdam through my lens and the history/stories I find out about that place you probably have also seen a hundred times, but you always wonder about.
If you are a newly expat or a very inquiring tourist, this is also a good place to start loving this city for what it really is and stands for.

¿Qué? ¿otro blog sobre Ámsterdam?…¡uf!… Bueno, sí, pero con un toque diferente ;). Este blog es para los “inbetweeners” (o los del medio) como yo, que no somos ni turistas ni de aquí. Si lo que estás buscando es las diez mejores cosas qué hacer en Ámsterdam o los cinco mejores restaurantes que no te puedes perder en Ámsterdam, pues te sigo que de eso ya hay mucha información por ahí. En este blog me gustaría ofrecerte algo diferente.
Llevo 11 años viviendo en esta ciudad y todavía tengo la sensación de estar un poco perdida en ella. Por eso decidí explorar la ciudad un poco más y aprender más sobre su historia. Hay tantos lugares por los que he pasado un millón de veces y, a pesar de apreciar su belleza, “¡Oh, mira otro bonito canal!”, aún siento que falta algo. Es por eso que he decidio compartir contigo mis descubrimientos. En cada publicación te mostraré mi visión de Ámsterdam a través de mi lente y la historia(s) que iré descubriendo de ese lugar que probablemente tú también has visto cientos de veces, pero siempre te has preguntado al respecto.
Si eres un expatriado recién llegado o un turista muy curioso, este también es un buen lugar para comenzar a amar esta ciudad por lo que realmente es y por lo que representa.
